The remains of the Capitol Building in the Roman town of Dougga, Tunisia. Originally a fortified Berber village and the later the seat of the Numidian king Masinissa, Dougga was occupied by the Romans in the late 2nd century BC. It was abandoned and deserted following the Vandal invasion. Dougga was declared a World Heritage Site in 1997.

The image was post-processed using the glow effect in Photoshop. Why? It seemed like a good idea at the time…
