lindisfarne castle (colour)

16th century castle on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The castle, which sits on the highest point of the island, was originally a Tudor fort, but was converted into a holiday home in 1903.

Holy Island lies off the coast of of Northumberland, near Berwick-upon-Tweed and is only accessible at low tide via a three-mile causeway.
