Castello di Taormina (also know as Castello Saraceno) is a medieval castle that sits atop the peak of Mount Tauro in Taormina, Sicily. I took this picture on the way up to the 3rd century Greco-Roman threatre. It was a hefty ascent (and €8 for the privilege), so I stopped for a breather and to take this shot.

  1. What a mystical place. These ancient places are so provocative for me in terms of time. The low distant point of view makes me think traveler not just of today, but of antiquity and to know the two both saw something similar. Great framing on this one.
