Sunrise over Hamilton Island

I woke up early (by accident rather than intent) and took these shots from the roof terrace of the apartment we rented at the Reef Hotel on Hamilton Island. Then I made coffee 🙂

I took multiple exposures for both framings with the intention of creating a HDR shot in post process, but there was too much movement in the clouds and water between shots – it was pretty windy and I don’t have automatic exposure bracketing on my camera, meaning there was several seconds between each exposure. Besides, I like the look of the silhouetted landscape.
