As I’ve now come to the end of my never ending zombie series I thought it would be nice to compile all the images into one place; clicking on any image should bring up the slide show mode. This gallery comprises all the zombie pictures I’ve published on WordPress from the past three Beach of the Dead events and should be in chronological order (starting with 2010). I think (or hope) it shows an evolution in both my camera technique and processing skills.
Wow. Just…wow! Such a great-looking gallery. You post processing talent is phenomenal. I don’t know if I should love it or love it some more. To me, you’ve captured the essence of a zombie. One question: was this all part of a movie shoot? I have a vague memory reading it was…
Thanks! No it’s annual zombie march held every October in Brighton. It’s being going for 6 years now and every year it gets bigger – the first year 40 people turned up, last year it was 6000! Basically everyone turns up in zombie garb and walk along seafront.
I think I should book me a B&B in Brighton next year and come and join you Stevie 😀
What a fab gallery, great stuff.
How did you make a gallery page?
Thanks! It’s pretty straightforward. Click on insert media and there is an option in the left hand-column that says “create gallery”. Then you simply choose images from your media library to be added to the gallery.
ah easy peasy cheers!
Terrifting!!!!!!!
Terrifying rather! Sorry, I was so scared I forgot how to spell.
While the early shots are great reportage, there is a marked difference with the recent shots, which are very stylish and completely engaging. Really liked revisiting them!
What a huge gallery of undead zombie! awesome! bleeding monochrome zombie looks cool 🙂
This is impressive, Stevie, and well done, tip to tail. I really love the cohesiveness of the series and how you maintained a style while varying the compositions. You should really think about publishing this somehow if even making an ebook for distribution. Bravo.
I suspect you have developed an intuition towards the subject over the past seasons and will be able to take that intuition into you next big venture. Possibly not kiddies tea-parties – though I understand they can be pretty blood-curdling for the uninitiated. 😉
As long as when you go to sleep at night your dreams don’t involve zombies wreaking havoc on you……
Excellent!
I absolutely love your work! And having access to all of your amazing zombie photography in a single chronological gallery is a great way to view the progression of your technique and the event itself. Great stuff… thanks for sharing!
Brilliant photos of a delightfully grizzly event.
I have to concur that the mood of the latter shots really brings the walking dead to life.
I’ll certainly be along this year if I can.
Thanks. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s running this year and neither did it run last year. It seems the council are against the event now that it has gotten so big and the organisers can’t afford to pay for it themselves (insurance, security, etc). Shame, because it has always been a lot of fun.
Oh dear, a victim of it’s own success.
