Kourion ruins

kourion ruins

More ruins at the Kourion archaeological site in Cyprus. Not sure what this structure used to be as they didn’t provide much information at the site.

    1. Yes it was. They provide information for the site as whole and some of the larger or more important structures, but not much info on individual structures, which is a shame – I like to know what I’m looking at!

      1. Me too, that’s a shame. In Ireland we have a National Monuments Service whom have an online archaeological survey and map which gives a little bit on info to work off. I guess the Cyprian Government dont have anything like this? 😦

        1. Not really. They give you a small pamphlet when you enter and there are a few info boards scattered around the place, but these only really cover the key structure. There is more info to be found on the net, but you have really dig around. I will probably try to do more research when I find time.
