Part of the strange collection of statues and oddities in the garden of La Villa de Teguise, Lanzarote. It’s the work of the elusive and eccentric artist Don Pillimpo, who collects junk and arranges it to create these displays.

It sits right next to a main road and, having been to the island several times, we’d driven by this curious melange numerous times before. However, this was the first time we actually stopped to take a proper a look. It’s not actually open to the public, so fascinated onlookers, and it does attract a lot of attention from passers by, just stand beside the low wall gazing into the garden and taking snaps.

Personally, I think it’s blooming marvellous, but not everyone agrees it seems! More photos to come…
