The i360 at dusk, a 162 m tall observation tower with an ascending/descending viewing platform. It’s situated on the Brighton & Hove seafront and opened in the summer of 2016, designed and built by the team behind the London Eye.

Some people love it, others hate it. Some folks worry that one day it will topple over and crush them like a bug. But I think we can all agree that this trend of prefixing everything with an “i” has become extremely hackneyed and cringe worthy and that its employment should be punishable by death πŸ™‚

  1. It’s a cool piece of architecture, although it has to be said Brighton isn’t as packed full of architectural gems as, say, London, so the view from the top isn’t as awe inspiring as you might think. πŸ™‚

    1. I’m fairly ambivalent to it, though I think it has grown on me a bit. I have to admit that I haven’t actually been up it, though that’s partly because my partner has a real issue with heights! But yeah, I’ve heard from a few other people that the view isn’t that impressive and also that you can’t take decent photos from it because of the curvature of the glass.
