A cute little re-breasted robin, and one of my relatively rare attempts at wildlife photography! It was perched on the mossy wall of the country pub we stopped by at for lunch on the way back from Petworth. So a nice photographic bonus there!

I’ve never heard that one before, interesting! Having been brought up in a very religious family, I was taught that the red breast is from Jesus bleeding on a robin when he was dying on the cross. Which is very apt, because it’s Good Friday this week 🙂
Yeah, they’re supposed to be a guide from a loved one, apparently. Being of more of a spiritual than religious persuasion, I’m inclined to agree with that idea; they seem to appear when I least expect it, but when I most need it. 🙂
They do seem to pop out of nowhere!
