
Inside the main part of the ruined 18th-century manor house at Clandon Park, where you can really see the damage done by the fire in 2015. I imagine its going to take the National Trust a while to restore the building to its former glory.

Me too! Shame you can’t really get close and explore properly. You’re basically confined to a wire cage tunnel, presumably for safety reasons. Still, at least there’s little windows to pop your camera through!

Yeah, there’s sometimes a strangely captivating beauty in decay and destruction. Clandon Park is definitely worth a visit.
