A northern cardinal (I presume!) at Ashbridges Bay, Toronto.

I was trying to get closer for a better shot but then some people cycled past. Typical!

    1. Yeah, they’re very striking birds! You’ve got to love that vibrant orange. There’s one that very occasionally pops up in our backyard, but I never have my camera at the ready when it does!

    1. Indeed it does. I always reckon that once humans are gone (from whatever disaster wipes us out first), the planet will recover without us and nature will continue doing what nature does! 😁

      1. Most definitely! I guess from humanity’s perspective, we can already see what happens when you remove human beings from places like the Inca heartlands. The planet would be a much better place without us, I think!
