A heron, I believe, basking in the unseasonably warm November sunshine.

It was a beautiful day, so I decided to cycle over to Tommy Thompson Park with my camera and just a light hoodie for a jacket! Apparently, November 2020 was the warmest on record for the Toronto region.

Anyway, this time I went up the east peninsula, which seemed to be off-limits on my previous visits, to explore some of the wetlands there. I’m glad I did because there’s some very beautiful scenery on this side of the park and it seems to a good area for bird watching, not that I brought the right lens for doing so!

Tommy Thompson Park is becoming something of regular haunt of mine, and you can read my paraphrased history of this nature park in a previous post.
