A cougar at Toronto Zoo.
I had to do a bit of work in Photoshop on this shot to remove a couple of blurry fence lines that ran across the cougar’s face. Not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with the result.
Still, the way that cougar was staring at me while licking its lips made me glad the fence was there 🤣
To me, the tongue makes the picture. Good timing, Steve.
Thanks. Yes, the tongue definitely makes the picture!
Good job removing the blurry bars, they’re so annoying, don’t know why zoos can’t have transparent ones! Love the tongue 🙂
Yeah, they’re annoying. It’s not so bad if you can get your camera right up to the fence and focus directly through one of the gaps. But, the zoo was keeping people back from some of the enclosures and making you wear a facemask because apparently we can pass covid onto some of the animals, particularly the primates.
I did Whipsnade recently and that was the same, couldn’t even get blurry bars!
If it makes you feel any better, cougars would rather avoid people than eat them 🙂
Thanks! 🐈
