While I was visiting my family in Redcar (on the north-east coast of England) I decided to return to the off-shore wind farm with my camera. This time I took shots from the observation deck on top of the Redcar Beacon (last time I took my shots from the beach).
The windfarm is a bit of divisive issue with locals, but I think there is a certain beauty to it. It definitely makes the place more interesting!
Nice shots, Stevie. I’m fascinated by them. The ones I see out on the Thames estuary are just too far away to take a decent shot.
Lovely atmospheric shot. I think they’re rather elegant – wish there were more of them.
Love the Redcar wind farm, lovely shot.
There’s something magical about wind farms. I really don’t get the naysayers’ view that they’re ugly…
People don’t like change – especially when it’s on their doorstep!
Good old NIMBYs… Where would we be without them?
